For several months I have heard people mentioning this book. I never bothered to read it because after all, how much more can be said about the subject. Well, let me tell you, Morgenthaler tells it all and tells it like it is. This is an extremely practical and balanced book on a difficult subject. She pulls no punches. It is an excellent tool for church leaders wanting to know the relationship of worship and evangelism. Morgenthaler does not make the mistake of pigeonholing worship at the one hour God slot on Sunday, but makes it something that encompasses all that we do with our lives. The author makes a clear statement that worship is at the heart of the church and that worship and evangelism do not need to be separated. Worship leaders looking for biblically and culturally relevant worship will find the appendix on Cross-Cultural Music Resource Bank to be a gold mine. Church leaders from any tradition who yearn to disciple both boomers and busters will find this book full of practical suggestions.
