McNeal, ReggieThe Present Future: Six Tough Questions
It is not often a book plows new grounds. McNeal has succeeded in doing so. McNeal shares his thoughts on six emerging trends occurring today. While the trends are not new, the depth to which he develops them is new and powerful. This book is one of the road maps to the emerging church which is a movement rather than an institutional church. As a result of reading this book, I changed my mission statement from “every person a minister”, to “every Christian a missionary.”
My advice for reading this book, take two aspirins before you start reading.
(San Francisco, CA, John Wiley & Sons, Inc., 2003), 151 pages, hardback, $23.95
