According to the authors, an Externally Focused Church is inwardly strong and outwardly oriented. This is an excellent book for both inwardly and outwardly focused churches.  Their primary goal is to build bridges between the congregation and the community. The authors draw on their own personal experiences as well as share great examples from other externally focused churches. Many of the individual examples they share are worth the price of the book. Each chapter ends with conversational pieces as well as a sermon based on the chapte
