The Effective Church
Group has been working
with churches for nearly
four decades.
Founded by Bill Easum in 1984, we’ve expanded with noted experts with hands-on experience in growing churches and coaching leaders to reach their potential. We’ve worked with churches from over 60 denominations including Non-Denominationals, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Disciples, Lutherans, American Baptist, Episcopalian, Seventh-day Adventists, and many more.
Because our mission is to equip churches to help every person become a follower of Jesus, we’ve intentionally devoted ourselves to creating supporting tools and resources for churches and church leaders. Combined, we’ve written over thirty books, written over 1000 articles and blog posts, and produced hundreds of training videos on nearly every aspect of what it takes to be a faithful and effective church in times like these.
Although we are called on to serve congregations and leaders in a variety of ways, most often we’re asked to help through on-site consultations, on-site congregational training, and one-on-one coaching.

Bill Easum
Founder and President
The years have been good to Bill and we thank God for them. He’s had the privilege of helping over 1000 churches grow around the world, authored nineteen books, received the prestigious Donald McGavran award for outstanding church leadership, invested in a successful partnership with Bill Tenny-Brittian, and had a wife who was strong enough to hold him accountable.
These days Bill looks forward to helping grow churches through coaching and through the legacy he’s invested in at The Effective Church Group … because seeing churches grow is still his life’s passion.
