We live in a crazy world. It seems everything has been turned upside down since the election of Donald Trump. Truthfully, I don’t know if this is good or bad. I guess we will have to wait and see. What I do know is I have come to distrust what I read or see on national news as well as what I hear from both sides of the political arena. And that’s a downright shame. When you reach a point that you don’t know who to trust, you’re living in a scary world.
That’s just another reason I’m so glad Jesus found me because I have an anchor I can trust – Jesus, who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Just think about it. No matter how scary things get you can always rely on him being there for you. And that’s no bull.
My guess is that things will continue to get rockier in our world for some time to come. Anytime someone messes with the status quo, good or bad, it causes confusion at best, and chaos at worst. Neither of which can be undone quickly. Another reason I’m glad to have Jesus in my life. You can’t put a price tag on stability in the midst of chaos. I hope you have that stability in your life.
I first talked about the coming chaos in several of my books – most noticeably Leadership of the OtherSide, where I compared our coming world with a wormhole into which our world was falling never to be seen again. That is what is happening today. The America we have grown up with is disappearing and a new world order is emerging. Whether or not we like what is happening is moot – it’s happening. The question is we come out of the other end of the wormhole will we still be clinging to our only anchor – faith? No matter what religion we profess, it will be the only thing to keep us sane over the coming years. I wish everyone had Jesus in their life, but for those who don’t – hold fast to your faith because the road to the future, no matter who is our President is going to be rocky because we live in a crazy world that is getting crazier. Trump or Obama aren’t the culprits – evil is the culprit. It lurks in the hearts of too many people in this world.
Of course, evil has always been present in our world – it comes with the human territory. But it hasn’t always had access to the destructive powers we have now. And that’s bad news for us all.
Just recently, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists announced that it is two-and-a-half minutes to midnight. The organization’s 70-year-old Doomsday Clock — one of the world’s most recognizable warnings of nuclear weapons — is now prophesizing the end of the world with more alarm than it has been at any time since the 1950s’ invention of the hydrogen bomb. And it hasn’t been mentioned one time on the national news.
Give that last sentence some thought. All you’ve heard about the last week was election fraud, bans on travel, etc. with no mention of the Doomsday Clock. As I said, we live in a crazy world. Again, I’m glad I have Jesus in my life because he brings a peace that no other faith can bring. I hope you have Jesus in your life because we’re all going to need him as never before.
