Wow. I’m feeling like I’m living in a world of alternate realities. I watch CNN and I think the country is close to coming unraveled. I watch Fox News and I sense that all is right with the country. I watch BBC and I see a third reality. How did things become so crazy?
If you’ve been following my blog, you’ve noticed that I seem to be caught up in the political craziness of our country. “You’re either for me or against me.” “I’m right and you’re wrong.” “Trump is a dictator.” “Trump is our savior.” It’s enough to drive a person to drink – unless…….
We have a novel thought – they’re all wrong. ‘’
I think there’s a fourth reality and it’s beautiful. The reality I see is one that hasn’t changed for 2000 years. God is still on the throne and Jesus is still the same as always and we’re all sinners. So yes, the world seems like a mess if you remove Jesus from the equation.
Sound like a broken record? It is because it’s one that needs to be heard in the midst of this stupid political world. In times like today we have to keep trumpeting the truth- Jesus is the same, today, and forever.
Now, here is my prediction about all of this mess. Trump will continue trying to make deals; the politicians will continue keeping their hands tied and their heads in the sand; and by his third term Trump will lose interest and vacate the office of President of the United States. But Jesus will still be the same as always. To me, that’s comforting.
A Comforting Thought in the Mix of the Mess
