House Church Resources

Before I partnered with 21st Century Strategies, I spent most of my waking hours being, working with, exploring, and experimenting with alternatives to what most Christians call "Church." I've struggled with trying to name what it is I've been involved with. Some suggestions have included:

  • Organic Church (ala Neil Cole)
  • Emerging Church (ala Brian McLaren)
  • Revolution Church (ala George Barna)
  • Simple Church (ala Tony & Felicity Dale)
  • Liquid Church  (ala Pete Ward)

But none of those have really captured what I've experienced over the past fifteen years or so of professional ministry. Indeed, society's discontent with "organized" religion, and the institutional church in particular, has been stirring in my soul since I was twelve-years-old. This isn't a short-term interest, but a life-long passion.

Experiments, studies, research, and conversations about alternatives to what we know as church led me to work with a variety of church planting models: Meta Church, House Church, and even a Rock-n-Roll Church.

What you'll find on these pages are some of the fruits and thoughts from those explorations. Articles, suggested resources, mentoring and coaching opportunities, and so on.
