Coaching

The coaching paradigm I use is one that combines pure coaching with pure mentoring with a little bit of training laced into it for good measure. The most common coaching model I use is a monthly one-on-one phone call (Skype to Skype is better, especially if you have a webcam … there’s something about being able to read faces during the coaching process that makes the appointment more effective). In addition, those I coach have access to me directly through email. I also “allow” for an additional half-hour “emergency” up to once a month without additional charges for those circumstances when a coach could be helpful when a leader is facing an unexpected decision or issue. To help facilitate training, I include a membership in The Community and encourage participation in the Advanced Leadership Forum during our coaching contract. The Adv. Ldr. Forum provides a secondary source of coaching, as well as giving you access to a wealth of experience from other advanced church leaders.
