Bill Tenny-Brittian, Senior Consultant

Bill Tenny-Brittian is a partner and Senior Consultant with 21st Century Strategies, as well as the Managing Editor of Net Results magazine. In addition, he is a co-president of the National Evangelistic Association.

Over the past twenty-five years, Bill has been in demand from multiple denominations and has served as a successful church planter, transformational (turn-around) church pastor, consultant, and coach. His work has traversed the spectrum of churches from Southern Baptist to Lutheran (ELCA and LCMS), Presbyterian to Seventh Day Adventist, Disciples of Christ to United Methodist, and others along the way. He has led churches in transformation on both coastlines, in Middle America, and in all four corners of the nation. His broad based experience and understanding of North American church and culture, and his high-energy communication style has placed him in front of audiences to train both clergy and laity for over a decade. In this light, he has served as adjunct faculty and professor for the Bakke Graduate School and the Missouri School of Religion.

Bill is a noted futurist and has helped prepare churches nationwide for emerging trends. For instance, he's been involved in the North American House Church movement for nearly a decade and has applied his experience and research by helping churches develop multiplying, life transformational small groups. Technologically, he has assisted churches of all sizes in bringing their ministries up-to-date in order to effectively reach their communities.

Bill writes for Christianity Today, Net Results, On Track E-zine, and in the public eye at BillTennyBrittian.com. He is the author of seven books: Hitchhiker's Guide to Evangelism, The Apprentice Workbook, House Church Manual, Prayer for People Who Can’t Sit Still, High-Voltage Spirituality, Doing Ministry in Hard Times, and Under the Radar.

Bill holds a BTh from Florida Baptist College, an MDiv from Candler School of Theology, Emory University, and a DMin in church planting movements from NW Graduate School (Bakke Graduate University).

He is married to the Rev. Dr. Kris Tenny-Brittian and lives in Columbia, Missouri.

Congregational Church Growth, Transformation,
& Next Level Consulting:

For most clients, Bill uses the Complete Ministry Audit model and materials to assess the congregation's needs. The process includes data gathering by the congregation, securing adequate demographics, and a multiple day onsite visit.

Congregational
Leadership Coaching & Consulting Package
:

The Congregational Leadership Coaching & Consulting Package is a gentler and often more effective approach to the consulting process. This package includes multiple training visits, monthly leadership coaching, an onsite consultation, and ongoing support.

The Complete
Worship Audit:

A less expensive consultation option that focuses on the effectiveness of your worship services and hospitality to reach those beyond the congregation. An optional congregational hospitality training session is available.

Leadership Coaching:

There are two models of coaching Bill uses. (1) Leadership Coaching is typically a one-on-one telephone conversation with the pastor. (2) Congregational Coaching is typically a conference call with the congregational leaders (council, board, session, vestry, etc.).

Training Events:

Bill is regularly asked to facilitate training events at churches and by judicatories. This section includes keynote addresses, workshops, and plenary engagements.

Multi-Day Retreats
and Events:
